The Alton based group A.C.E.S. 4 Youth presented its third annual National Day of Service celebration at Alton High School on Monday. Billed as a "day on, not a day off," the group hoped to bring a message of service to the young people in attendance with information about how to get involved in the community. A number of groups were represented with information about service and volunteer activities in the River Bend.

The A.C.E.S. Choir and A-town Steppers also performed for those assembled, and Alton NAACP Treasurer Bobby Collins, Sr., spoke to the group.
