The leader of the Jersey County Business Association says Grafton will likely see the benefits of a tourist economy for years to come. With a new room at the Aries Winery with what many say is a spectacular view, that is another addition to the town that already boasts a thriving bar and restaurant business along the Great River Road.
JCBA CEO Mary Heitzig tells The Big Z that entertainment aspect has been a major factor in keeping people coming to town.

A big factor in getting people in and out of town is the Grafton Ferry, which is expected to reopen late in the spring. Having the ferry as a transportation option cuts about a half-hour off of the drive between Grafton and Highway 94 in St. Charles County in Missouri.
