The governor has signed a bill that will ease the minds of those who run Illinois school districts. The bill puts another $244-million into K-12 education, and $25-million more into Early Childhood education. That's good news for the bill sponsor, State Senator Andy Manar (D-Bunker Hill).

In a news release, the governor got a dig in at the Speaker of the House and Democratic lawmakers. Manar says he's not sure what that's all about but that sort of attitude, he adds, is not necessary.
