Thirteenth Congressional District candidate Matthew Goetten (pictured) isn't conceding in the race to Democratic primary opponent David Gill. The race went down to the wire and into Wednesday morning before all the votes were counted with Gill earning a close victory by less than 150 votes.
Goetten's spokesperson Vlad Gutman says his candidate is still set on bringing change to Congress.
Only 143 votes separate Goetten and Gill. That doesn't include absentee or provisional ballots. Counties have until April 10th to certify the official election results. The new 13th District includes parts of the Champaign, Decatur, Bloomington, and Springfield areas, then turns south into portions of the Riverbend.
