The Godfrey Animal Control Officer’s job now belongs to Susie Stephan. She submitted the winning bid of $58,700, which is more than $10,000 less than the next lowest bid submitted by her predecessor, Rick French. Also submitting a bid was Jeff Lagemann.
Stephan assured the board she has the necessary facilities and agreements to do the job, especially when disposing of dead animals.

Mayor Mike McCormick says a couple of complaints that were e-mailed to his office a few weeks ago are still the only complaints so far.
