After nearly a foot of rain and more than a week's worth of flooding, Godfrey came out of the recent weather fairly well according to the Public Safety Administrator. Aside from the clean-up near the village's portion of the Great River Road, there were some downed trees and power lines to deal with.
Chris Sichra says this was the first real test for the village's disaster plan.

The Godfrey Fire Protection District now has flood/rainstorm clean up kits available for Godfrey residents, courtesy of the Red Cross. Kits are available free of charge at each Godfrey Fire Protection District Fire Station between the hours of 7am-8pm. If you are not able to pick one up, call 466-0131 x2 and they will try to get one to you.
