Since 1993 Madison County has had seven federally declared disasters caused by flooding and severe storms, so local leaders are constantly updating disaster plans. The new Public Safety Administrator in Godfrey says their plan is ready to go, and they will be giving it a test run in a few weeks.
Godfrey will be teaming with Madison County Emergency Management to simulate the response to a tornado on June 24th in Godfrey. Chris Sichra tells The Big Z it is important to have a plan to respond at the ready, as well as to document what you have done.
