The Madison County Extension Education Foundation and Master Gardeners from the University of Illinois Extension Office are coming together for the 11th annual Garden Tour Market on Saturday in Edwardsville. The event runs from 9am until 3pm, rain or shine, and features seven unique gardens that contain annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and other garden items.
Bill Smith, who is a Master Gardener with the U of I Extension Office says that putting these gardens together is no easy task.
Smith also says that you once you buy a ticket you will be given a map so that you can create your own path as you explore the gardens in the Edwardsville and Glen Carbon Area.
The Garden Tour Market is located at the Glen Carbon Senior Community Center behind Glen Carbon Village Hall at 151 North Main Street in Edwardsville.. Tickets are $12 in advance or can be bought for $15 at the Garden Tour Market and at each tour location on Saturday.
You can buy your tickets at The Bank of Edwardsville's main branch in Edwardsville, or at their Bethalto, Highland and Granite City locations. Tickets are also being sold at the Garden Kingdom in Glen Carbon, the First National Bank in Holiday Shores, Bethalto, Hamel and Staunton. And at the University of Illinois Extension offices in Edwardsville, Waterloo and Belleville.
