The Discovery Garden is launching its 10th season, and today will host a worksop for this year's gardeners. All gardeners will gain advice and learn of area resources on organic gardening. The $10 fee for your plot covers the 10' x 10' space at the garden, which can produce enough food to last through the spring, summer and fall
Jaime Hines, head farmer and Project Manager, says if you are new to gardening, there are plenty of people willing to help you learn.
She says a goal of the garden's parent organization, the Community Cultivators, is to spread the word about organic gardening and how it can be done successfully in this and other communities. The garden is located at LaVista Park on West Delmar Avenue. Two stone pillars mark the entrance to the park. For more information, call 772-6315.
