Two fugitives from Tennessee that were apparently hiding out in Godfrey have been captured. 32-year-old Jason Clapper and 30-year-old Joseph Isbell were taken into custody at about 6am Wednesday by Madison County Sheriff's Deputies and the U.S. Marshall's office at a house in the 4700 block of Iroquois Drive in Godfrey. That's near Clifton Terrace and the Great River Road.
The men had escaped from prison in Gibson County, Tennessee on November 11. Tom Woods, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal in East St. Louis tells The Big Z it is believed the fugitives arrived in the Riverbend sometime late Tuesday.

Woods says Clapper is originally from the Alton area, but declined to go into detail about a connection to the house where they were found. A stolen vehicle from Florida was also recovered at the house in Godfrey. The two reportedly were taken into custody without incident.
