You are being urged not to try and drive through flooded roadways. With the heavy rains over the last few days there is a lot of standing water and some flash flooding in the Riverbend. One of the more dramatic sights is in Bethalto on portions of Culp Lane and Stadium Drive.
Bethalto Mayor Alan Winslow tells The Big Z that is because the lake at Bryant Park has spilled out of its banks.
