Hartford is celebrating the 238th birthday of the US Flag today at the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower. More than 50 U.S. flags will fly as Boy Scout Troop 16 of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton drive to the tower. Starting at 10 A.M. the Scouts will start placing flags on both sides of the road at the entrance to the tower. The Scouts will then perform a brief ceremony. Projects Manager Deanne Barnes tells the Big Z the first 60 people will get a free hand flag.
