Fill The Boot, The Godfrey Fire Protection District's annual charity drive, has raised $4,000 to fight muscle disease in the St. Louis area. Muscular Dystrophy and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, take away a person's ability to walk, move, smile, talk, and even breathe. All money collected from the drive goes to support The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The MDA invests $75,000 in research every day, to find breakthrough treatments and cures across diseases.
