Tax season is officially here.  The IRS pushed the season back so they could prep their machines, which means taxpayers have just two-and-a-half months to get their paperwork in.  Sue Hofer, with the state’s Department of Revenue, says the easiest way to get it done is to file online.

Hofer says another perk of filing online is that people can get their refunds quicker.  Last year 80-percent of Illinois taxpayers filed electronically.  Taxes can be filed at
