A couple of weeks after the SIU Board of Trustees voted to leave tuition rates alone for the coming school year at SIU-Edwardsville, it decided the rates on many fees would have to be raised for the 2014-2015 school year.  The changes include the student fees for Housing occupancy rates, Information Technology, Textbook Rental and Intercollegiate Athletics. 

University spokesman Doug McIlhagga says the increases range from about 1 ½ percent to three percent, generally covering costs.
