The town of Sauget is getting an economic boost. FedEx is investing more than 23-million dollars to build a new ground distribution center there. The new facility will put about 175 people to work, according to Scott Burns, FedEx Ground regional vice president.
Workers will process about ten-thousand packages every hour. It's expected to open in August of next year. Governor Quinn is praising the company's decision to build in Sauget, claiming it'll help the state recover from the recession.
