Galesburg will be the host to one of the nation’s four field hearings on the 2012 Farm Bill later this week. U.S. Rep. Bobby Schilling (R-Colona), a member of the House Agriculture Committee, is pleased to have it. “It’s … to bring farmers in to get their input throughout the area. I kind of like where they put it because it’s a centrally located area for the 17th (Congressional District), so it’s basically to hear some voices, to see what folks are thinking,” he said.
