Hello, October. Hello, fall color. For areas of the world that enjoy four seasons, the one with the oranges and browns is coming. Rhonda Ferree, a University of Illinois Extension educator based in Havana, says times have been better in this area.
“A lot of the factors depend on the stress levels of the trees,” she says. “If we see really early fall color, that is a sign that the plan is under some kind of stress. We've had so many weather conditions that have stressed the trees in the past three to five years.”
