The Madison County Child Advocacy Center is sponsoring it's first Kids Health Safety and Activity Fair on Saturday at Alton Square Mall. The free event will feature resources for kids and families, but also kid friendly activities and a place where new, kid-businesses can get a jump start through a Kids Business Expo. The fair runs tomorrow from 10am to 2pm throughout the shopping center.
The lower level will have many local community organizations, while there will be a few hands on activities on and kids businesses on the upper level. Madison County Child Advocacy Center development specialist Christy Schaper says for them, it was a way to say thank you for supporting their center:
Entertainment will be provided on stages in front of JCPenny and Macy's including magician Chris Carpunky, the Alton Youth Symphony, Lifehouse Band, and a special cheerleading clinic lead by cheerleaders from Marquette Catholic High School.
