Drivers are catching a break when it comes to owning a vehicle in Illinois. A new report by BankRate.com puts Illinois in the bottom of the pack when it comes to paying for gas, insurance, repairs, and all the other bells-and-whistles that comes with owning your own ride. On the flip side, it's not cheap to own a car in Missouri. A new report from finance website bankrate.com ranks the Show-Me State as the 12th most expensive place for car owners. The site estimates it runs the average resident about 35-hundred dollars each year in repairs, taxes, gas and insurance. Georgia is the most expensive state at more than 42-hundred bucks. Drivers in Oregon pay the least.
