Early voting begins today around the state of Illinois. If you want to avoid the hassle of voting on Election Day November 6, Madison County Clerk Mark Von Nida says you may want to think about voting early. He says you can cast a ballot at his office in Edwardsville, as many have already done through the absentee voting process.

Early voting is available through November 3. There are several locations around Madison County to vote early, but in neighboring Jersey County, early voting is done at the County Clerk's office, and at the courthouse in Macoupin County.
