It's that time of the year again, when the pride of the nation descends upon our region. There's plenty of places to check out bald eagles as they search for open water in the coming months. One popular spot is the old Chain of Rocks Bridge, connecting Granite City to North St. Louis County.
The span across the Mississippi River plays home to Eagle Days, which is a collaborative effort by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Confluence Partnership, where Charles Johnson is Project Manager for Eagle Days 2012.
Eagle Days at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge is Saturday and Sunday, January 14 & 15, from 9am-3pm. More information can be found online at this story at AltonDailyNews.com
