Illinois U.S. Senator Dick Durbin says the CIA, Secretary of State Clinton and others are in a "comprehensive investigation" of the events at the Libyan consulate. The Democrat says we should now "ask the honest questions" and "gather the evidence" and "make sure that we understand exactly what did occur." He says it should be investigated in a "thorough" and professional" way.
Durbin was asked on FOX News Sunday why more wasn't done to protect the four Americans who died.
Durbin criticized Republican Congressman Darrell Issa for politicizing the situation. On the same program Republican Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina says the Libyan consulate was a "death trap long in the making" and he calls it "failed presidential leadership at its worst."
