The effort to allow illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses is gaining support. Gov. Pat Quinn says he’s for it. “We wanna pass this bill through the House and Senate hopefully in the next couple months, before Jan. 9, and it will arrive on my desk and I intend to sign the bill,” he said Tuesday at a news conference in Chicago along with other supporters, including members of both major political parties.
