While Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has garnered much of the national media attention, one local congressman still thinks someone else will be the party's nominee next year. Congressman Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) says while Trump leads in many nationwide polls, he is trailing in states that are traditionally predictors of the vote such as Iowa and New Hampshire.
Davis thinks the attention Trump has generated has been good for the entire Republican party.

Davis says he is not ready to endorse any of the candidates, as he wants to learn more about each ones' stance on issues he considers important.
