Congressman Rodney Davis says getting President Obama to believe in the power of coal would give the state and the nation a chance to boost the economy. Regulations placed on the coal industry over the last several years have nearly crippled its ability to provide cheap, reliable power according to Davis.
The Taylorville Republican tells The Big Z what the Obama Administration has done amounts to what he calls a "war on coal."

Davis recently toured a number of coal plants in his district, and says rules in place for decades have prevented as much coal as possible from being mined, and that has to change, if for no other reason than the economy.
