The Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau is launching a new way to connect volunteers with local projects. The website lists 11 museums and attractions all around Alton that are looking for dedicated volunteers. The attractions are looking for volunteers who are ready to become more involved in the tourism community.
Brett Stawar, President of the Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, says volunteers play an important role in the tourism industry.
Among the locations listed on the website are the Alton Visitor Center, the Alton Museum of History & Art, the Jacoby Arts Center, the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower, Alton Main Street, the National Great Rivers Museum, The Nature Institute, the Audubon Center at Riverlands, the Alton Little Theater, Two Rivers National Wildlife Refuge and the Lewis & Clark State Historic Site. For more information on volunteering at any of the sites contact the CVB at 465-6676.
