The Crisis Food Center will be closed today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) as the heat rises. Normally the temperatures wouldn’t be an issue, but the Crisis Food Center Board President Mary Brandt tells The Big Z their main air conditioning unit was stolen and they are waiting on a replacement to be shipped and installed.

Brandt says the air conditioner unit in the area between their building and the church is the one that was stolen. She assumes that is because it is in a more secluded area where the thieves may have avoided being noticed. Brandt hopes to reopen on Friday even if the repairs have not been made, since the forecast is calling for slightly cooler temperatures.
