An early morning crash on Airline Drive in Rosewood Heights has left almost 300 Ameren customers without electricity. While the crash itself didn’t knock out the power, Ameren crews had to cut electricity to the area to safely make repairs.
The crash happened just before 3:30am in the area near Airline Drive and 9th Street. The vehicle hit a pole with a transformer, causing damage that warranted the repairs. It is unknown what charges, if any, the driver will face. There is no estimate as to when power may be restored.
