The 26th annual Olde Alton Arts and Crafts Fair is set for this weekend at Alton High School. Nearly 200 crafters will have booths set up, displaying their wares for the public. Admission will be $2 Saturday and $1 Sunday, with kids under 12 admitted for free. Breakfast will be served an hour before opening each day.
Parking is at the high school and is free with a shuttle bus taking visitors to the front doors of the school. The fair will feature hand-made crafts or homemade food items. Spokesman Ed Gray describes some of the offerings.
Saturday's fair runs from 9am-5pm, while Sunday hours are 10am-4pm. Proceeds from the event go to benefit Alton Band & Orchestra Builders. There will also be a basket raffle and drawings for Schnucks' gift cards.
