The completion of Illinois 255 and work on the Corridor 67 project is scheduled to intercede at some point later this next year. Illinois 255 should be done to Humbert Road by this fall, with the highway to continue on to the new Route 67. As it stands right now, the delays on 255 will not affect the work north of Godfrey Village Hall.
Eventually, Illinois Route 67 will be expanded from the mostly 2-lane highway to 4-lanes from Godfrey to Rock Island. Don Miller is the executive director of the Corridor 67 organization, and he says the stretch south of Delhi to Godfrey is ahead of schedule.
