“Margie is an excellent instructor, especially for Tai Chi,” student Julie Breden said. “It is important that you learn correct technique, which she teaches you step by step, allowing ample time to ask questions and check on your progress.”

Tai Chi is a low impact, non-contact form of exercise featuring slow and deliberate body movements designed to improve flexibility, balance, strength and circulation. While practicing this subtle and sophisticated Chinese martial art, participants develop proper breathing and relaxation techniques to enhance joint flexibility, reduce stress, and increase the mind’s ability to focus.

“You are invited to continue your study of this ancient form of Chinese exercise as you refine your techniques and learn additional movements in Continuing Tai Chi Chuan once you have completed the Tai Chi for Health offering,” Sinclair-Parish said.

There are two upcoming sections of Tai Chi for Health that will be offered on L&C’s Godfrey Campus: Wednesdays, from 4:40-5:30 p.m., Jan. 29-March 4, and Wednesdays, from 4:40-5:30 p.m., March 25-April 29.
