November was one of the coldest ever recorded in Illinois. The statewide average temperature for November came in at 34.3 degrees. That's more than eight degrees below normal, making last month the fourth coldest November in Illinois, says State Climatologist Jim Angel.

As far as precipitation goes, November was drier than average following the early fall months that were pretty wet.
