Brazen thieves stole a classic guitar from rock-and-roll legend Chuck Berry this week. Authorities in St. Charles County say the suspects hit Berry's Wentzville home not once but three times. On Monday, a vintage 1978 Gibson guitar was stolen from the residence; on Tuesday, the thieves returned to steal various outdoor items. But when they returned with a U-Haul yesterday, neighbors called 911, and the suspects were arrested.
Three men were being questioned by police and charges are pending. Authorities say they recovered the guitar and several other items. The 85 year old Berry was not home at the time, as he also has a home in Ladue.
