Members of the College Avenue Presbyterian Church are continuing to make preparations for the annual Christmas Dinner. This is the 15th year they have held the event that brings members of the community together on Christmas Day. Dinner organizer Bobbie Vandalia says that this dinner is for anyone who doesn't want to feel alone on Christmas.
Two of those planning to attend, she says, are celebrating more than Christmas.
There is also a delivery list that is being used to feed those who are unable to attend. She and the other members of the church fed 300 people last year and she expects to see that same turnout this year. She says they get a lot of help from volunteers, and donations from both the church and private businesses and individuals are a key to making it work.
