An East Alton man is looking at a possible 30-years in prison, a half million dollars in fines, and a lifetime of supervised release following his guilty plea to possession and receipt of child pornography. Brandon Charles Seymour was arrested last June after an internet investigation in April revealed he was sharing child porn over the internet.

An undercover officer was able to download 23 videos of child pornography from Seymour's computer on April 27, 2011. Investigators then seized a computer and a DVD-R from Seymour's home. He estimated that he had approximately 50 video files containing child pornography on this computer, and also admitted burning approximately 15 video files containing child pornography to the DVD-R. Investigators subsequently found over 1,000 videos of child pornography on that computer, and 29 videos depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit behavior on the DVR. Seymour will be sentenced May 18.
