Two people from Missouri have been charged in connection with recent counterfeit bill-passing incidents in Wood River. Following a tip, police arrested 35-year-old Kristen M. Lenz of Imperial, Missouri and 33-year-old Nathan A. Hickam of Barnhart, Missouri.

Investigators believe Hickam is an accomplice, and he was arrested at a motel in Granite City. Lenz was charged Monday in Madison County with 4 counts of Forgery. Hickam is charged with one count of Forgery. Steward says the pair may also face federal charges at some point.
