Illinois’ next late-winter deer hunting season will be open in fewer counties.  Illinois Department of Natural Resources spokesman Chris Young says it’s possible that antlerless deer hunting could return to those counties next year provided the deer population increases.

Among the newly announced closed areas are St. Clair, Jersey, Calhoun and Bond counties.  There was no change announced for Madison, Macoupin or Pike Counties.  You can find a full list of the changes through the link
