The U.S. Census Bureau is releasing a wealth of information on communities nationwide. Census Bureau Senior Demographer Scott Boggess says St. Louis has an older population.
The American Community Survey provides neighborhood-level statistics on everything from schools to jobs and housing. Boggess says the ACS survey contains five years of data which will help state and local leaders plan for the future. It includes detailed information on the population make-up, business environment and even your daily commute. Along with the 2010 Census, the ACS survey is also used to determine the annual distribution of more than 400-billion dollars in federal funding.
