Democratic Congresswoman, and candidate for U.S. Senate, Tammy Duckworth of Illinois is bringing in more money than the primary candidate she will be running against for a chance to replace Senator Mark Kirk. Newly released campaign figures show she raised almost $1.5-million during the third quarter of this year.
Her Democratic opponent Andrea Zopp raised 425-thousand-dollars. Duckworth even out-paced Kirk, who brought in just over $1-million. The Illinois primary is March 15.
