Republican Congressional Candidate Jason Plummer is disappointed in the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that kept the Affordable Care Act in place. Plummer says in the 12th District where he is running, he feels many people are against it due to the way the bill was handled and the costs down the road.
Plummer says the act has its good points, but the costs need to be handled differently, and he’d vote to appeal it:
Plummer is facing Democrat Bill Enyart, retired commander of the Illinois National Guard, who officially kicked off his race for the seat on Monday. He stepped in and was selected to fill the nomination after Brad Harriman left the race due to health issues. Enyart says while he doesn’t like all aspects of the bill, it’s a step in the right direction and would oppose overturning it.
