With the school year coming to a close soon, the Riverbender.com Community Center is also wrapping up this year's series of dances for teens. The center also hosts several dances throughout the year, but none of it could be possible without volunteers and they're putting out the call for more help. It takes about 15 people to make it happen, but the fear is the current crop of volunteers is getting overworked
The center's John Hentrich describes some of the jobs a volunteer might be asked to perform during the popular middle school dances.
He says the time commitment is just 4 hours, and the dances are scheduled twice a month. The next one is this Saturday night from 6:15 to 10:15. For more information on the center, check out this story at Alton Daily News.com
