Two brothers from Alton are charged in a shooting incident last month at a Venice nightclub. The Madison County State’s Attorney has charged 31-year-old Vontarious Gordon and 32 year old Vincent Gordon with six counts of aggravated battery with a firearm for the six people injured at the scene, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, and single counts of unlawful use of weapons by a felon.
The alleged crimes happened June 28 at the C&M Lounge. Vincent Gordon allegedly punched a woman in the face, igniting a confrontation that led to a confrontation with a number of people and eventually spilled onto the parking lot. Investigators say at some point the Gordon’s began shooting, hitting the six people, the bar and a car. Vincent Gordon is in custody at the Madison County Jail and will be transferred to Missouri for a parole violation on a kidnapping conviction. Vontarius Gordon has already been sent back to Menard Correctional Center on his parole violation. Bond on the new charges was set at $1-million for each brother.
