Illinois Congressman Mike Bost (R-12th) is asking for a delay in the final decision on placement of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.  Earlier this spring the government announced it had chosen a site in North St. Louis, but Bost contends that choice was based on inaccurate data.

There was a big bi-partisan push by Illinois concerns to lure the site to the Scott Air Force Base area.  Bost says he has submitted a letter to the Engineer Inspector General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers asking for an independent investigation into the site selection process.

He says more than 1,000 letters have been submitted for public comment, expressing concern about the decision.  The final site selection is due to be made by June 2nd.
