Residents of Alton's Bluff Street will soon see Public Works crews in action. The aging brick street in the city's Christian Hill neighborhood will soon be undergoing repairs, hopefully resulting in a smoother ride for motorists in the area.
Alton Mayor Brant Walker tells The Big Z this is a little bigger project than normal sewer and street repairs.

While a projected start and end date have not yet been established, Walker hopes the work will be done by the end of the year. He notes, however, that could change depending upon what is found when crews open up the street and have a chance to take a look at the nearly century-old infrastructure.
