Alton Main Street is gearing up for the Big Gig Music Show in about a month, and has announced the bands that will take part in the show. Six bands from around the River Bend, and the St. Louis region, will perform along with headlining group Aaron Kamm and the One Drops. The show takes place at the Riverfront Amphitheater Friday September 28.
Alton Main Street Executive Director Sara McGibany debuted the list first on the Z-1570 Morning Show:
This year the bands taking part in the show are alternative band Shower Curtain Madness; reggae/rock group Nine Rabbits Laughing; Hideous Gentlemen playing bluegrass and folk; local classic rock and country group Crazy Chester; the rock band Sweet Dirt, and surf, punk, rock group Drama.
The three bands that sell the most tickets by September 17 will play on the main stage, with the other bands playing on a second stage near the beer tent. Tickets for the show will go on sale soon through the Riverfront Amphitheater website for $10, or admission is $12 at the gate the day of the show.
