The Bethalto School District Board of Education has heard about their finances, and as of now, the state is on target with General State Aid payments. The Superintendent says the problem with that is they are prorated at 89%, so they will be short about $1-million in what the state would owe the district.

As for what he s expecting from the state with a new governor in office, he says it is a wait and see proposition. Stegall says he is encouraged by the fact that Governor Bruce Rauner is planning to scrutinize the state budget closely.
