Before you make a donation to help those people affected by Hurricane Sandy, take the time to see if the charity is legitimate. With disasters comes fundraising efforts. Vice President Jessica Tharp says before you donate, check with the BBB.
“Consumers can go to BBB.org and check out any company and charity nationwide and in Canada,” Tharp said. “So that’s going to give you a good resource to check these companies out to make sure they are worthy of your donation.”
