Alton attorney Bradford E. Hunt is facing more problems, after a weekend arrest on pot charges. He was already being investigated by the state for allegedly keeping money from a client that was disabled by a gunshot wound. Now, investigators believe the 56-year-old is involved in a cannabis growing operation.
According to charges filed by the Madison County State's Attorney's Office, Hunt (pictured) had 24 cannabis sativa plants at a home he owns in the 3,600 block of Horn Avenue, which is located in the Milton area behind St. Mary's Middle School. Hunt is charged with two counts of unlawful production of cannabis sativa plants and a single count of unlawful possession of cannabis. Another man, 20-year-old Spencer M. Mills of the 2,400 block of Sylvan Lane in Alton is also charged with two counts of unlawful production of cannabis sativa plants. Bond for both men was set at $100,000.
