ArtEast, the 16th annual studio tour will feature the work of dozens of local artists and demonstrations in Alton, Edwardsville, and several other communites this weekend. The artists from Madison County will show their wares to the public at nearly 40 stops during the free self-guided tour that runs today and tomorrow from 11am to 5pm.
Project coordinator Susan Bostwick says Jacoby Arts Center in Alton is a main stop in the River Bend featuring the work of more than a dozen artists. She says it's a unique event, since some artists use larger spaces to work while others open up their homes or private studios just for the tour:
